2,150 trade visitors from 12 regions of Russia and from abroad attended the exhibition. Company executives and specialists from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, China, Hungary, Austria, Iran, Israel and India actively held meetings and negotiations for three days at the event venue.
Within the business program of the IPhEB Forum six events were held, which addressed current issues of clinical research, quality control of medicines, highlighted current achievements and challenges in the field of creating pharmaceuticals, cosmetics and dietary supplements, discussed current aspects of the drug supply for children, human resources potential of the pharmaceutical industry, regulatory changes in the industry, and identified the impact of digital technology on business growth of pharmaceutical companies.
Great interest was aroused by the first All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with international participation "Pharmaceutical Science: Challenges and Solutions in the 21st Century", organized in partnership with St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University.
The first All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference included the section "Clinical trials" organized by the X7 Research team. The program was divided into several thematic blocks:
1. Transformation in clinical trials;
2. PHARMA 2030 strategy;
3. Transition to the EAEU requirements for regulatory documentation.
During their presentations the speakers shared their valuable experience in writing clinical trials documents, discussed potential ways of developing regulatory documentation in the field of clinical trials under EAEU rules, and offered their ideas on pharmaceutical business development in the current economic and geopolitical conditions. Topical issues of data integrity in clinical trials, digital transformation of trials, changes in registration and conduct of clinical trials of orphan drugs, research on human microbiota especially caused vivid discussions during the section program.
The section was moderated by Sergey Simeniv — the founder of X7 Research and X7 Clinical Research. Guests and participants of the conference actively participated in discussions, asked questions to the speakers, and talked during the breaks.
The RWE/RWD section was held on the final day of the conference. During the program two levels of work with RWE/RWD research were discussed: strategic — planning, project management, and operational — direct implementation of RWE/RWD. Despite the narrow sectional profile, more than 50 people participated in the conference in person and online. The participants noted the high level of the speakers and their practical approach of the presentations.
The section discussed the challenges and prospects of RWD, statistics in RWE/RWD, medical records as a source of RWD information, and difficulties in interpreting terms.
At the PHARMIX conference, PROMIS company presented its innovative 3D-GENERATOR software, which allows you to create 3D images of drug packages from reamers in the desired perspective and quality in minutes. Also among the available functions there are scaling, shadowing, rotation by axes, selection of background and others.
On the final day the section "Research in the development of promising drugs and cosmetics: trends, current solutions and foresights" was held, moderated by Elena Flisyuk, Doctor of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, Vice-Rector for Science of St. Petersburg State Chemical and Pharmaceutical University.
As part of the section the participants discussed innovative methods in drug development and solutions in the field of organization of cosmetics production.
Participants and guests of the event noted that IPhEB Forum remains an important event in the calendar of industry representatives and participation in the Forum year after year confirms the importance and effectiveness of the event.
